Naturalia

Co-designed with Liza Dareing and 1000 Faces Masked Theater, these costumes were designed for Naturalia, which appeared in Sweet Briar's Fall 2024 Dance Concert as well as the Mid-Atlantic American College Dance Association Adjudicated Concert. Naturalia is a social commentary on commercialism and Mother Nature's fight to save humankind from ourselves.

Businessmen costumes consist of locally thrifted oversized suits and ties and painted paper-mache heads/masks. One businessman's button-down has vines tacked to their sleeves, revealed only at the very end of the piece upon removal of their suit jacket.

Fay costumes consist of oversized green ponchos crafted out of repurposed fabric, polyester chiffon pants in sand brown, and sourced brown leotards.
