Grace Hall-Matson currently serves as the Costume Shop Manager for Sweet Briar College's Dance Program. However, her experience with costuming spans two decades and includes:

  • Making colonial reenactment costumes for her family before even reaching elementary school.

  • Providing costume maintenance and assistance for musicals from the age of nine to fifteen.

  • Serving as a costume assistant for her dance studio in high school.

Since becoming involved in Sweet Briar's Dance Program, Grace has been responsible for cataloging, maintaining, and organizing close to a thousand costumes within the Program's collection, as well as managing costumes for shows involving over fifty costumes. Her time in this position has also allowed her to design and create close to 100 pieces for departmental and senior concerts.​ When she isn't working on costumes, you can find Grace working as an elementary school instructional assistant or playing with her dog, Button.
